Sam held leadership roles in both startups and well-established companies in Ireland, Europe, and the Middle East. He has over 15 years of experience in strategy formulation, implementation, transformation, scale up and equity deployment.

 

Sam's most recent role was CEO of HALJ Group, a business employing more than 200 people in diverse sectors, such as hospitality, facility management, construction, and real estate. He oversaw the balance sheet, the operations and core functions of the group.

Sam is a veteran of McKinsey & Company where he consulted private and public organizations in strategy formulation and implementation. He received his bachelor’s degree in international Relations from Brown University, RI, USA, and a MPhil in Development Studies from University of Cambridge, UK.

 

Sam is originally from Egypt and grew up with an entrepreneurial father and an academic mother. They both value dedication, hard work, and ethics, all traits they have instilled in him throughout his journey of life and professional career.

 

Sam lives with his wife and their four children in Dublin. They enjoy family picnics, nature walks, and movie nights.
